Forest carpet stamps

The Rare Earth forest carpet stamps are lovely silhouette stamps inspired by the forest at dusk. They contain a range of flowers, butterflies, dragonflies and inspiring sentiments. I enjoyed playing with them to try different effects.

You can create quite simple cards with a single colour on an inky background, with a sentiment.

I used a few of the stamps in just one colour to create an impression of undergrowth.

An inky background with the blooms stamped in the same colour and a few additional elements added in circular topper shapes.

I stamped onto the central piece of card and then matched the stamps on the background card she they line up with a matching border.

A few lines of watercolour  paint, a simple sun and a flower border, sentiment and kaeidoscope of butterflies.

Some left over mopped up ink provided the background for this card.

Some lines of watercolour made the background with some textured stamps to give some interest.

Blossom, bloom and flourish could be used for a variety of occasions.

A silhouette on an inky background can look effective.

A decorated bag with just a few embellishments and sentiment

I used left over pieces to decorate another bag.

I like the idea of building up a landscape and this was my first attempt. I used pieces of paper as a mask to create the hills and clouds.

Here is another landscape, which is easy to create using these lovely stamps.

I was getting into the lanscape idea and here is a third one.

Pools of different watercolour paint with the textured overlays and a silhouette flower in the middle.

An easel card . The ink blending was done on photographic paper.
