Summer smile Tatty Twinkles
I had the privilege of trying out the new Tatty Twinkles summer smile stamps. The stamps are fab and give the feel of warm summery days in the garden. Tatty Twinkles is peeping through the foliage with a butterfly on one hand and a bird on the other.

Let`s Carnival
I went to give a helping hand in preparation for Luton`s 40th Carnival. I met the Sickle Cell support group and they kindly allowed me to assist with the costumes.
I was shown how to shape and stick foam shapes for the shoulder decorations. We tried to match them so they looked symmetrical.
I embossed some stars to stick on the headgear. This view shows the headgear from the back so I could see the shape of the cap.
A front view with four layers of decoration.
Adding the decoration to the headpieces
The cap before decoration.
Some finished headgear
Nearly finished,, It just needs a few more stars.
Gluing the struts to add the shoulder decoration.
This lady was trying on her amazing outfit.
Making a few last minute adjustments.
I had a preview of this dragon
The dragon seemed quite friendly on closer acquaintance.
I wanted to see how the stars were attached
A finished headpiece

Trying on the shoulder decoration.
Shoulder decoration with a different colour scheme.
I had an enjoyable afternoon and learned a lot. I am keen to gain more experience in making carnival costumes.

Love in bloom
I made a couple of cards with Tattered lace`s Love in bloom stamps by Victoria Nelson. I love the designs, which could be used for many occasions. I stamped the main image a couple of times and decoupaged the butterflies to help give the feeling of dimension. I used some torn water-colour paper for the blue card. I made my own flowers using Tattered Lace dies.
Tatty Twinkle
I had an opportunity to play with some of the Tatty Twinkle stamps. They stamp clearly and have lots of sticky on the back so they adhere well to a stamp block. The tag is blank and could be used for a variety of occasions.
I stamped onto water-colour paper on which I had already put some wash, This created a lovely soft effect.
Heartfelt
I used the tattered lace dies to make this engagement card. The waistcoat was made from one heart and the bow-tie was from one of my digi-kits.

Playing ball
I have enjoyed making paper balls with the die from Creative Dies, which came with a craft magazine. I have tried making them with a variety of materials such as card, vellum, an old book and flyers.
If there was no fire risk they would look cool on a string of lights. I have not tried putting a bell in for the cat to play with yet! I`m wondering if they would work with felt. I`m also thinking the paper balls could be personalised with photos.

Rumble in the jungle
I used the Tattered Lace panorama dies to make this jungle card. The tree dies are from couture. See if you can spot the crocodile.
